Details before checkout
The goal is to make the selected place or activity recognizable before it becomes a physical object. The same preview-first process helps with a city block, a ridge, a lake, a marathon route, or a climb that mattered.
Use the location editor for places where the landscape is the subject: a hometown, mountain pass, coastline, lake, ski area, or travel memory. Use the Strava flow when the route is the subject and you want the trace, activity name, date, distance, and elevation on the plaque.
The preview is there to catch the important details early. Zoom and pan until ridgelines, water, roads, or the route line read clearly, then choose the shape that gives the terrain enough breathing room.
MapCraft pieces are made to order from real elevation data. Activity maps are built as framed wall pieces, while location-based terrain maps can move from preview to order once the selected area looks right.
